Q: What is the SC Index?

A: The SC Index (SCI) is a proprietary algorithm developed by Style Coalition that offers brands and agencies a simpler way to evaluate influencers. Each influencer’s SCI reflects their social media followers and engagement, blog metrics, and their experience with brands including: number of bookings and feedback from brands.

Q: How many influencers should I include in my campaign?

A: The number of influencers included in a campaign depends on the goals of the campaign. A campaign for a local event with a niche target audience may require one or two influencers to drive local awareness and buzz while a national new brand launch initiative may require ten to twenty influencers across multiple content and demographic targets lasting several months. You may choose to book all influencers through SCX or use Style Coalition Full Service to manage campaigns from concept to execution and reporting.

Q: Will I have control over the brand message in my campaign?

A: Yes. During the campaign request process, Brands specify the message points required in each element of a campaign. Draft assets are also presented to Brands for approval throughout the execution phase of a campaign. Note, however, that the best results are achieved when the influencer presents the message points in his or her own voice and matching their unique point of view.

Q: Does Style Coalition require the influencers to disclose their relationships with brands?

A: Yes. Style Coalition complies with FTC guidelines and requires full disclosure to readers when an Influencer is working with a Brand. This typically is displayed within the blog post or social network post.

A: Style Coalition provides real time analytics dashboard for all campaigns, which includes stats for overall media impressions, content interactions and campaign reach. Our advanced reporting is compiled directly through social media APIs and Google Analytics, guaranteeing accuracy.

Q: What is the SC Index displayed on my profile?

A: The SC Index (SCI) is a proprietary algorithm developed by Style Coalition that offers brands and agencies a simpler way to identify influencers who can help them on specific campaigns. Each influencer’s SCI reflects their social media followers and engagement, blog metrics and their experience with brands including: number of bookings and feedback from brands. All influencers that are part of SCX receive an SCI; you cannot opt out. However, you can improve your score by increasing your reach and ensuring campaign obligations are met.

Q: Who can see my profile? How much is public?

A: Style Coalition takes privacy seriously. The general public can only see a line item for each Influencer in search results. Only registered and approved Brands may see the full Influencer profile. Personal details such as email address, postal address and phone numbers are not visible to anyone on SCX.

Q: Why do you ask for my Google Analytics details?

A: Google Analytics and Quantcast IDs are requested as part of the Influencer profile. SCX uses these IDs to automatically pull blog metrics information commonly requested by Brands as part of a campaign proposal. Providing these IDs will give confidence to Brands that the metrics data is accurate and will increase the potential for booking a campaign. These IDs are also used to provide campaign results such as page views of a sponsored blog post.

Q: Why should I “connect” my social networks in my profile?

A: Connecting social networks in the Influencer profile enables SCX to gather your follower and other engagement data to be displayed in the Influencer profile. Brands use this data to make qualified decisions regarding the booking.

Q: Can I set the fees for my services?

A: Yes. The Influencer Profile includes a Services tab where you can identify the types of services you offer and the fees you will receive for these services. When Brands request a campaign with you, they are able to see the fees for your services.

Q: Can I change the fees for my services?

A: Yes. You may change any details in your profile at any time. Note, the service fees listed on your profile at the time when a Brand requests a campaign will be used for that campaign.

Q: Am I able to decline any of the campaign opportunities I receive through SCX?

A: Absolutely. You will have an opportunity to decline or accept a campaign at the moment you are provided with campaign details. However once campaign is accepted, you won’t be able to change your mind.

Q: Who owns the rights to my content created for brand campaigns?

The brand paying for a campaign owns the web rights to the content you provide. Additional licensing options may be requested by brands on a case by case basis, for which you may request additional compensation. Please refer to the SCX terms and conditions for exact details.

Q: How do I receive payments for campaigns?

A: Payments to Influencers are transmitted electronically using Bill.com. You may also elect to receive physical checks. You will be required to fill out additional tax forms (e.g. W-9) in order to receive the first payment.
